On the supplement page (inside the back cover) reference is made to Dr Dodd being arrested there in 1777 and hung for forgery. The records show Dr Dodd was arrested at his offices in Argyle Street. He was publicly hanged at Tyburn on the 27th June 1777. It was a famous case at the time with Samuel Johnson writing several papers in his defence.
