Will of Thomas Hill of Washington dated 1751

In the Name of God Amen. I Thomas Hill of Washington in the Parish of Crich in the County of Derby Taylor being of sound Mind and Memory Praised be God for the Same Do make and publish this to be my last Will and Testament as follows –
And First I give and devise unto my Grand nephew John Hill, who now lives with Me, and is the Son of my Nephew John Hill and Grandson to my Brother George Hill late of Alfreton in the said County of Derby deceased, and to his Heirs All that Close Piece or Parcell of Land commonly called or known by the Name of the Partridge Dole situate lying and being in Washington aforesaid or the Liberties (………?) or Territories thereof with Th’ Appurtenances and now in my own Possession And also All other my real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever with Th’ Appurtenances To have and to hold the Same and every part thereof unto my said Grand Nephew John Hill and his heirs To the Use and behoof of him my said Grand Nephew John Hill and his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to and for no other Use intent or purpose whatsoever And I give and bequeath unto my said Grand Nephew John Hill all my Goods Chattles Cattle and Personall Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or quality soever To have and to hold the Same unto my said Grand Nephew John Hill his Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever he and they paying thereout all my just Debts Legacies and Funerall Expenses And I give and bequeath unto my Nephew John Taylor and my Niece Ellen Reynolds Wife of John Reynolds the Sum of five shillings apiece, to my Nephew Thomas Hill and Niece Mary Hill Son and Daughter of my said late Brother George Hill of Alfreton the Sum of ten shillings apiece All which said respective Sums I will shall be paid to my said Nephews and Nieces respectively within twelve months next after my Decease And Lastly I do hereby revoke and make void all other and former Wills and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament and do constitute and make my said Grand Nephew John Hill Sole Executor thereof In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Hill have hereunto set my hand and Seal this third day of August in the year of Our Lord Christ according to the Computation of the Church of England One Thousand seven hundred and Forty nine.
